Larry Fitzgerald ’02 to be Commencement Speaker

Former NFL star Larry Fitzgerald will be the commencement speaker for Valley Forge Military Academy’s 96th Corps of Cadets graduation on Saturday, June 1st. The ceremony will start at 9:30 a.m.
Fitzgerald attended VFMA in 2001-02 before going onto a standout college career at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was an All-American and had his number retired. He went on to play 17 seasons in the NFL, earning 11 Pro-Bowl honors during his career.
Larry is the co-founder of Trenches Capital, founder of The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation and President of Larry Fitzgerald Enterprises (LFE). Larry launched the Foundation in 2004, in honor of his late mother, to promote education and technology access for youth, and to support efforts to prevent and cure breast cancer and provide resources for survivors.
In the business arena, Larry’s LFE investments cross diverse sectors, including real estate, hospitality, travel, sports, and technology. Following his NFL career, Larry transitioned to strategic roles, serving on the boards of Dick’s Sporting Goods, Qualtrics, and Infinite Athlete, a cutting-edge tech firm revolutionizing sports and entertainment. He co-owns the AZ Drive Major League Pickleball team and the Rajasthan Royals cricket team. He also hosts the Let’s Go! Podcast with Tom Brady and Jim Gray, and contributes as an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown.
