Feb 28, 2025

Leadership from Valley Forge Military Academy & College attended the 2025 Association of Military Colleges & Schools of the United States Conference in Alexandria, Va. earlier this week.

The annual conference brings together Heads of School, Deans, Commandants, CFOs, Marketing and Admissions representatives, Counselors, Athletic Directors, and other key staff members, giving them the chance to engage with fellow participants, exchange ideas, and collaborate on enhancing educational standards within military institutions.

Winners of the annual AMCSUS competitions were announced during the event. Cadet William Stanley won first place for the college cadet writing competition. College Provost Dr. Robert Smith won first place for the college staff writing competition.

The team of Aedan Taku, Ralph Nicholson, Benjamin Cournoyer, Robert Young, and Christian Stephens won third place in the College PT Challenge. They were the only junior college to place, which marked the first time a junior college ever placed in the event.

The Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) was founded in 1914 & its current membership includes 37 fully-accredited military colleges, junior colleges and college preparatory schools.

Since its founding, the Association has served as an advocate for the nation’s premier military colleges and schools & has acted as a liaison with the Department of Defense and Department of Education.
