Eisenhower Hall – the Five Star Building on Campus
Oct 20, 2022
Eisenhower Hall is among the most visible and heavily used on campus, and it bears the name of one of the most admired and respected individuals in US history. Referred to as “IKE”, it is the affectionate shorthand of General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s nickname.
Eisenhower Hall is often the first building visitors see when arriving at VFMAC. Prospective families attend Open House events there. Incoming plebes are dropped on the adjacent parade loop.
Receptions for parents and community leaders are hosted there. The ballroom on the second floor has been the stage for events such as Congress to Campus and Chamber of Commerce breakfasts.
A highly successful Golden Sword Society event at Eisenhower Hall honored those who are part of the prestigious group.
“There are several levels of giving,” said Mrs. Stephanie M. Helgeson, director of development. “The Golden Sword Society, with a level of an annual $1,000 gift, is among the most popular as it enables donors to give an amount which not only makes a difference at VFMAC but also aligns with a level of comfortable giving.”
Other Giving Societies are:
Founder’s Society $50,000+
Magis Society $25,000-$49,999
Trustee’s Circle $10,000-$24,999
President’s Circle $5,000-$9,999
Society of the Golden Sword $1,000-$4,999
Silver Sword Society $500-$999
