Band attends 47th Military School Band & Chorus Festival

Director of Music Kathleen Dougherty and cadets Sean Story, Kaljahn Jordan and Malik Graniela took part in the 47th Military School Band & Chorus Festival last week at the Army & Navy Academy in Carlsbad, California.

The event brought together cadets from different military high schools and colleges from around the country, allowing them to display and grow their musical talents. The three-day event culminated in a concert on Sunday. 

“The cadets performed well together with their fellow military academy cadets,” Dougherty said. “They learned a lot in those three days both musically and socially, and met young men and women in the same circumstances as them attending Military Schools. It was a great experience to expose them to, and I hope they continue having these experiences.”
