Corps of Cadets
The Corps of Cadets at Valley Forge Military Academy is the foundation of the cadet experience, fostering discipline, leadership, and camaraderie. Modeled after the U.S. military system, the Corps provides a structured environment where cadets develop accountability, resilience, and teamwork. Through daily formations, leadership responsibilities, and a rigorous schedule, cadets learn to lead by example while upholding the academy’s values of courage, honor, and duty. This immersive experience prepares them not only for higher education and military service but also for success in any career path they choose.
Becoming a member of the Corps of Cadets requires completing the “Plebe System,” a training period that introduces new cadets to Valley Forge’s traditions and cadet-led community. This adjustment phase ensures cadets develop the skills and traits needed to succeed in all aspects of life at VFMAC. Overcoming challenges, from tough exams to physical obstacles, is both rewarding and empowering. Facing these experiences together fosters camaraderie and forms lifelong friendships among cadets.
