College Courses

Required College Classes

All cadets are required to complete six credits of computer science at no additional cost through Valley Forge Military College (VFMC), located adjacent to the Academy. This requirement ensures that every cadet develops essential technical skills, preparing them for the demands of higher education and modern careers.

Dual Enrollment

Cadets in good academic standing have the opportunity to earn additional college credits, at no cost, by enrolling in courses at VFMC. Unlike AP courses, which primarily offer a high school-level introduction to college concepts, the dual enrollment program immerses cadets in actual college-level coursework.

Additionally, cadets interested in cybersecurity can earn a Cybersecurity Certificate from VFMC, gaining essential skills in network security, ethical hacking, and cyber defense. This certification enhances their career prospects in the rapidly growing cybersecurity field and provides a strong foundation for further studies or professional opportunities.

This early exposure builds their academic confidence and resilience, enabling cadets to graduate with both a high school diploma and a college transcript, giving them a competitive edge in college admissions and future academic endeavors.
